The Turkish Muslims are also, from all indications I've seen, a pretty moderate, civilized bunch.
I don't know what the numbers and percentages are, but unfortunately it looks like they're in the minority. If the madmen can be silenced -- either by internal opposition, or, by US warplanes -- then there may be hope for the rest of the religion.
Agreed! I think this is an exploitative and disgusting poster, and I will make sure to call the AAI and tell them so. And I will also find a number for the Ad Council and tell them that I am very offended that they would pay money to place this thing anywhere.
I'm not sure how many Muslims are bad, or how many good; I'm not sure how many of them that are in this country have evil motives and designs and wish to convert this nation (and all nations!) to Islam; but I will NOT tolerate their sanctimony and draping themselves in the mantle of victim-hood.
There certainly were Muslim victims of Sept. 11th, they died in the WTC, many came from my town of Bayonne, NJ. They were killed by their co-religionist psychopaths. IF the AAI is looking for apologies, maybe they should offer one to the families of those Arab/Muslims, I won't be giving them one.
I reserve my God given right to hate & distrust them, as long as I don't fly a plane into a building containing them I'm within bounds.
IMMIGRATION REFORM NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Considerations being:
- Civilians who died in New York City on September 11, 2001
- Civilians who died in Pennsylvania on September 11, 2001
- Civilians and military personnel who died in the Pentagon on September 11, 2001.
Solution... My wife and I have been working on a visual depiction...
-Build a five-pointed star shaped outer building in the shape of the Pentagon. Fifty stories tall.
-Inside the outer perimeter of the P shaped, building, construct gardens, repleat with fountains, sculptures of the 3 men supplanting the American Flag, a "Viet Nam - type wall of all names who died in this disaster against the United States of America. There would be the ability ot for those to pray, and relect for our American citizens.
In the inner plane, same five facet concurrent structure would be a 125 story building, in the epicentere of the two outer rings. The top ten floors would be emblazoned/etched with color of brick and mortar of the American Flag. Inside these top ten floors, the United States military would have the best operationial facilities on the East Coast of America.
Now, for those folks who believe that the WTC should not be seen as a commercial enterprise. The WTC was a commercial enterprise. No different from a manufacturing plant in Detroit, MI. After WWII, Americans, and our enemies reconstructed their cities. Yes? Ask the English, Germans and the Japanese.
The concept of the outer Pentagon shaped structure growing 50 stories is one of attracting Americans to remember what terrorists have done to our country. Provide, opportunities for people to come and pray, and mourn for their loved ones. Opportunities for people to walk the gardens, observe views of American architecture revering the American SPIRIT!
Let's not "cave in" to other's ideas in no rebuilding an American icon of FREEDOM. If we do, America will have lost, caved in to the evil-doers, and we will become a country lost in the sea of mediocrity.
No but it will help when we do.
This ad sends mixed messages. Some I like and some I don't. Overall I don't like it.
This brings up an issue about groups and individuals. As a group I don't like Arabs. I don't like the way they act, think, worship, etc etc. When and if I meet them on an individual basis I will give them the courtesy and respect that I would give anybody else. Then they would show me as an individual by how they act towards me whether they deserve my respect or not. I have known 2 Middle Easterners; 1 an Afgan, and the other an Iranian. The Afgan and I used to have a lot of fun shooting the breeze talking about whatever. He was living here in the US when the Russians invaded Afganistan and had to go back to rescue his father and take him to Pakistan. The Iranian was one of the kindest and most tenderhearted man I've ever met. He went back to Iran to evangelize for Christ and had to come back to the US for fear of his life. As groups we may not like each other but we need to drop that garbage when we meet as individuals.
Of what? Their poor, widdle feewings getting hurt?
And once we have all the advocates of Islam deported, we can, after a thoughtful, comprehensive planning process, begin to implement a procedure for granting visas that will ensure compliance and also include a rigorous background check of the applicant.
Only then will the compassionate Arabs who assisted in the development of this self-serving advertisement feel comfortable knowing that none of their countrymen will infiltrate their Mosques and defile their religion and, most importantly, out country.
P.S. I'm still waiting for the hordes of Islamic believers to crowd our streets with pro-United States demonstrations decrying all terrorism perpetrated by their "brethren".
Perhaps I won't hold my breath!
God Bless the REAL victims of terrorism.
EODGUY
I have to agree that Islamic "justice" appears brutal and deadly. Thank God for our military, they may not respect our way of life, but they respect our weapons.
