My grandfather used to talk about his days of chopping cotton as a boy in North Alabama. My great-grandmother would cook breakfast very early each day and would not cook another meal until after dark. Lunch was leftover biscuits from breakfast. My grandfather's favorite lunch was vinegar and onion biscuits. I've tried them and lets just say it is an aquired taste.
