Major CYA coming up: Our judges work hard, they are trained specially, a computer backs it all up...yada yada yada
This guy is spending a lot of time to tell us how *right* the judges are. Someone is wasting our time. I wonder..are there a lot of tomatoes in Salt Lake this time of year?

Just a statement that they'll follow the by-laws of the International Skating Union. Now open for questions, but I suspect it will just result in tap-dancing.
Please keep me posted, I have to run off to an appointment. (Darn).

He is saying that they reviewed the performances and that the Russians deserved the gold. At least that's how I understood it.
He also said that it's very difficult to become a judge. He is saying that there is no signs of any abuse by the judges.

'More than rumours' in investigation, is not permitted to give further deatils.

Did he say nothing, or did that atrocious Italian accent just lull me into sleep? He said absolutely nothing. This is a tap dance and a colossal waste of time. The whole message is "we're looking into it..."
To: Dog
They aren't going to do a thing!
...COWARDS
To: counterrevolutionary
He is circling around the question....won't answer.
He just said it's under investigation...

Another note before I go - the Toronto Globe and Mail is reporting that the ice-dancing standing are predetermined, with the Italians winning. I notice that the head of the ISU is Italian. Hmmm?

Here's what I
think will happen.
They will follow the law, like good Republicans (sometimes following the law is a good thing, even if unpopular), and throw their hands in the air. They'll say that they can do nothing for the Canucks.
The popular (and I think just) decision would be to give the Canucks a gold medal as well, while allowing the Russians to maintain their medals. Thus, everyone gets to blame the French.
This is what I hope will happen. I don't think it will happen, because Ottavio doesn't want to undermine his corrupt judging system.
Be Seeing You,
Chris

It all depends on what the meaning of the word "fix" is
To: Thane_Banquo
Allegation has been filed by unnamed party regarding the judging.
There will be a coucil meeting on the 18th to look into the accounts further.

I will never, ever watch the Olympics again in my lifetime.
