As discussed several months ago (far too early for most to commit), you are invited to attend a traditional Catholic Action weekend in New Orleans. Be forewarned that there is a major convention in town that weekend. For that reason, I am happy to help with securing hotel and restaurant reservations as well as providing what transportation help to and from the airport or outer-lying hotels as is possible. Please contact me if you have any questions.
N.B.
As noted in the link, I will be preparing little binders for attendees and am interested in collecting lists of "picks" from all interested FR Catholics ... whether or not you can attend ... so that I can compile a sourcebook of ready references to include:
- authors and books
- periodicals
- websites
- traditional Catholic organizations of note
- so-called "Catholic" organizations and networks on which to keep an eye
- miscellany ... as related to the proposed topics intended for discussion -- liturgy, priesthood, human life, etc. -- or simply personal favorites.
In order to save money, all binder materials and the substance of discussions/presentations will be uploaded to the net and available by electronic transmission.

Thank you very much for the invitation. I just checked and you're about 680 miles away.
I'm an impulsive traveler, so give me a reminder bump about one week prior please. I just received my ashes.

You may know this, but Frank Sheed's To Know Christ Jesus is prime reading for Lent.

So sad that I can't make it. I'll just make a nice webpage or two summarizing interesting topics that haven't found their way to FR.

The Ave Maria Foundation is doing great work and is faithful to the magisterium. Most of the foundation's apostolates have weblinks at the following web address:

Wow, maybe there is a thread on Catholicism where the bashers can take a break for once.
I think we're setting a record here so far. JimRobs warning post may have helped.

Thanks so much for the nice invitation--I am in school, working on my BS (NO funny remarks, please!) and since I'm also working, I've got to put all plans to travel aside for at least another year and a half...The meeting will certainly be in my prayers--!
P. S. the New Oxford Review is online, now, the past issues, and they are terrific!

More power to you brothers and sisters. Am offering up prayers for you now. Why didn't I see this sort of stuff when I was brought up Catholic. I firmly beleive the only way to change society is one heart at a time turned towards Jesus.
God Bless you all

I'm not on your list, but I am Catholic and I am from New Orleans, & although I'm not there anymore, I think my Mom would LOVE to come to this seminar at St Pat's. She's not a freeper, wouldn't even know what one was, - is she welcome anyway?

Catholic Action restores society by converting it to Christ. I always find it funny when people get scared at statements like this from the Catholic and Protestant churches, as if you are intending to do make conversions at gunpoint.
