I think you give "JimRob" FAR less credit for intellectual Honesty than he has earned!

The "Board" is, however, the "arbiter" of a LOT of discussions of "racism" FAR BEYOND the "Level" @ which you post!

Watch & Learn!!

""AMERICA" has--so far--proven to be Greater Than the "Sum of it's Parts." "

Doc, but is the "sum of its parts" still operative. That is the question. And we must return to God or there will be no sum.

I guess that membership was short-lived.

well, maybe. The silly thing is that it is ludicrous to think of me as a xenophobe or racist, I don't care what a person's skin tone, pedigree, or accent of speech, or even RELIGION might be as long as they do not seek to use that as an excuse to justify violence or attacking me or my kind, or anyone else for that matter, or thinking they are above the law or deserve special privileges...

No post ever by me criticizing any actual RELIGION, only a certain conspiracy of evil to seize world domination, that is POSING as a religion.

Hi Mercuria, how's it going? I have had 'puter problems but I'm back and what Rev. Peterson says is right on the money....also, for the first time I will be able to listen to your radio show on the internet!! This is just a little bump for freedom of speech, long may it live and may Rev. Jesse Lee stand as an example for ALL of us to follow. Unless we all start speaking up we are in for a veritable hell, if its not too late now....

I stand for Freedom of individual thought. I seek truth and only that. I do not fear the thought police for they want to enslave me with myths so that they eventually own my soul. I seek the strength of the Lord. And He is watching all that is taking place on Earth.

There is largely no difference between the two races now. This is all in the name of diversity.

There never was as there is no such thing as a seperate race of people. The race is homosapien.

I have that original record and it was a great song live. Sly was one of the best in concert. Back then 69? It was the double edge song hit both blacks and whites in the double standard, as did his song Stand.

They ended up in a situation where they had two mouths to feed, one black and one white. Sly didn't fit the whites all way through, simply because he was black, and the blacks were accusing him for selling out to please the whites. Sly reacted; "Don't call me nigger, whitey. Don't call me whitey, nigger" (from Don't Call Me Nigger, Whitey). These demands were disturbing and Sly retreated through some of his songs.

After another, popular on-the-air stint at KDIA, Sly recruited siblings Freddie and Rosie, cousin Graham, white high school buddy Jerry Martini and his cousin Greg Errico, and former high school horn player Cynthia Robinson to form the Family Stone. After paying dues in the suburbs and showcasing a knack for making a record sound like its appealing live shows with "Dance to the Music", the group finally struck a chord with the Flower Children on "Everyday People". All the while the group's outlandish live performances featured choreographed onstage movements and fantastic hairdos and costumes which appealed to a rock audience despite the grab bag of musical sources.

Sly's successful melt-down of formerly segregated genres and audiences with the above tunes and such positive power cuts as "Stand", "Everybody Is A Star" and "I Want to Take You Higher" helped pave the way for the funk, glam and disco of future decades. For the time being, the body-bending, sing-along impact of his hits got him booked at the Woodstock and Monterey festivals and at Bill Graham's Fillmores East and West.
