Hmmm...
"The International Criminal Court could well become the mechanism by which the Western innovation of judicially (rather than legislatively) crafted social policy - and its accompanying consequences - are exported to the rest of the world. Of all revolutions through the centuries, this is the quietest. Of all the attempts made over the years to foist one group's will on everyone else, this is the most subtle and simultaneously the most far-reaching - the world-wide constitutional convention no one knew about," he concludes.

Why do you call Lent the "bewitching hour"?
I thought we aren't supposed to bash Catholics on FR anymore. Sheese.

is this serious?
I will stand behind the RCC on this if it is true.....it is absolutely disgusting that the ICC would dare try religious leaders because they happen to be *oh the horror* pro-life!!!!!!
To: proud2bRC
I doubt Pope John Paul II is too worried.

I guess it is just speculation about what might happen if it happens in the future, but still......it is very scary if it is even a possibility.

I don't doubt for a minute that the United Nations has plans to march a 'peacekeeping force' into the Vatican, arrest the Pope and Curia, and put them on trial for 'crimes against humanity'. The UN recognizes no other power but itself, and will not tolerate another organization, in opposition to its plans for a one-world dictatorship, with the same global reach but a greater command of its members' loyalty.
How many early Popes died as martyrs at the hands of the pagan Emperors? Pius VII died a prisoner of the French in 1799. Pius IX's fate was marginally better at the hands of Garibaldi. Hitler was ready to unleash the SS on Pius XII.
"How many divisions has the Pope?" Joseph Stalin asked sarcastically. The time may be coming when the Pope will need some. 21st century Papal Zouaves to fight another army aimed at capturing Eternal Rome for the godless!

I have it on good authority that on Sunday you may partake in what you have given up for Lent. So, Freep away on Sunday.

Professor Wilkins, former Assistant to the US Solicitor General, told LifeSite that the ICC [International Criminal Court] could eventually be used to "try the Pope or other religious figures" since issues such as abotion or homosexuality would eventually fall within the ICC's jurisdiction."The day the Pope is lead away in handcuffs is the day is the day Hillary Clinton is elected President.
Hmmmm...
