I emailed my earlier comment ("It always amazes me that the people most obsessed about God are the atheists.") to Will Hoover, who authored the article about Mr. Kahle, and Mr. Hoover responded:

"I've wondered about that too. Years ago I did a story about an extreme Atheist in Iowa. Years later someone told me he'd found God! I was so stunned I called him. Sure enough. I'm about 99.44 percent positive that's not going to happen with Kahle. But hey, anything's possible. Yours humbly... Will Hoover"
