Call the White House to Veto Shays-Meehan/McCain-Feingold
(1-202-456-1414, 1-202-456-5594)

While Dubyuh has said he'd "most likely" sign this if it comes to his desk, I don't believe he will. If I was in the House and/or Senate defending We the People's First Amendment Rights, I'd appreciate that public stance from the White House as it keeps the pressure on Congress to kill this un-Constitutional Garbage outright instead of waiting to be bailed out by the POTUS's veto pen; however Dubyuh's not gonna sign Shays-Meehan/McCain-Feingold into law as written, IMHO. He's gonna send it to the DoJ under the auspices of verifying its constitutionality, then find aspects of it that are not constitutional--there's plenty to choose from--then VETO It and send it back after some period of time elapses for rewriting.

However, if and when this passes Congress, I do believe flooding the White House with phone calls is an excellent idea to give Dubyuh political cover for the actions described above.

Shays/Meehan/McCain/Feingold will not become the Law of the Land...EVER!! IMHO, of course...

"USA Today Hypocrits "Salute" Elian, whom they helped Enslave!!"

"Al Neuharth, founder of both the Freedom Forum and the daily USA Today. "This is from the United States to you and to the people of Cuba," Neuharth told the boy. "Everybody in the United States loves you." The Freedom Forum, a nonpartisan foundation dedicated to free press and free speech, presents the award annually along with $1 million."

This stroy is disgusting on sooooo many levels...Neuharth is a Typically-Hypocritical Socialist Whore!!

Well, he might. The Constitution doesn't seem to be too popular in DC these days. As I understand it, CFR goes to the senate next, then the WH. Some major FReeping needs to happen between now and then.

Bush probably won't sign, but from what I hear, the text is vague & unenforceable anyway. Just alot of feelgood window dressing.

Just what we pay these guys for...
