What makes you think that Riordan can win?

Frankly, it would be better to have Gray Davis re-elected than Riordan. If Riordan gets the job, he will be running the Republican party into the ground for the foreseeable future. I'd rather wait another four years and try again. The man is a total disaster.

And Dick Riordan will never win again Gray Davis. And if by some bizarre happenstance he does, it will mean the utter dissolution of the California Republican Party as it now exists.

Riordan is a scumbag liberal. If he's the GOP's best hope in Clownifornia, then the Party should pull up stakes and flee the place completely. Why throw good money after bad?
If the GOP still has a pulse out there, Simon should win. If Riordan wins the primary, I hope he gets stomped in the general. There's nothing more dishonest and slimy than a RINO. Democats are, by nature, dishonest and slimy but at least they are properly identified by their Party label.

Bill Simon will NEVER win against Davis....
They said that about the 1969 Mets against the Baltimore Orioles, too.

Bill Simon will NEVER win against Davis.... Watch and see as Dickey wins the primary.Riordan can't beat Davis. He's too liberal even for California. Conservative Republicans will stay home ... liberal Democrats will vote for Davis, Davis will win in a landslide.
Bill Simon offers voters a choice. Voters WANT a choice. They WANT to find someone who stands for something, even if they don't agree with everything they stand for.

Well, I disagree. We know of quite a few here in the Sac valley that will be voting for Bill Simon, It is kind of a "no brainer" considering Davis and Riordan.
Riordan, has changed his views regarding Abortion, and changes views like the wind, to fit the climate he is in (ie; LA)
Word is spreading..and Simmon is gaining popularity fast. It will be interesting to watch the debates. That will be the real tell all!!
