Dear Mr. Zogby,

I just read your latest poll and couldn’t help but notice the left wing slant of your questions relative to rolling back the tax cut.

Your questions on taxes were not only slanted but confusing, maybe you can help me: Your question reads – Please tell me if you favor or oppose rolling back the tax cut if…it means the deficits would increase? If I “favor” rolling back the tax cuts, does that then mean…the deficits would increase? In your framing the question, if appears deficits would increase either way.

The following are questions that should be asked to get a true portrayal of American opinion:

This was in response to a Zogby Poll posted here yesterday that ticked me off with it's bias. One of these days I'd like to see a poll in a fashion somewhat like this, hold my breath right? I sent this to Zogby and I'm also going to send it to Fox, CNN, ABC, NBC and Gallup.

I looked at one to post once and decided against it for the same reasons you don't like this. The vote favored tax cuts in the mid-seventy percent range, but it was based on a biased question. So who cares if the cut won?

Was this a general poll? Or was it commissioned by someone? If it was commissioned, then likely they were looking for response to wording and phrasing in a properly distributed demographic sample.

Thanks for the response. This was fun, kind of a revenge of the p!ssed off conservative poll. I doubt I'll get a response from any news org, but at least they'll know there's at least one person wanting some real questions.

I think it was a general poll, as there were two sets of questions to some topics, some slanted mildly toward a Bush position. In the section where you could buy specific questions, one Group of four was labeled Bush questions. The rest of course, had no label.

Remember Zogby is a closet liberal. The only reason he got closer than anyone in the 2000 election results because he had a brother that worked for the DNC and he knew the crime machine of the DNC getting out the vote (dead vote, illegal vote, stuffing the ballot box vote, etc.)
