We just had something like that in Seattle recently... a kid stole a police car, got chased, then disappeared... meanwhile, another cop saw a police car coming towards HIS car, so he opened fire... the cop that got fired at, I believe, crashed HIS squad car into the other and returned fire... luckily, no one was hurt...
While this was going on, the kid was parking the stolen car back at the precinct where he got it...
