Procedure was not followed. But my question is.... if procedure was followed, would there have been enough time to get this corrected?

I'm glad that Killinger didn't follow procedure on this. It would have taken too long, especially with the IOC involved. I feel bad he won't be bringing the flag to Utah, but I am glad that he followed his principles in this matter, even at a personal cost to himself.

I honestly think the IOC does not realize the feelings of Americans about 9/11. The IOC can winge all they want about patriotism, but they are going to be seeing a lot of pro-US sentiment at the Olympics by Americans.
