Enron in the eyes of PBS

I was channel surfing and saw PBS take on Enron yesterday. I know, I know, it's a waste of time and tax dollar, but I wanted to know how the Enron issue was addressed by the PBS. (our Television Network, choke, choke, barf, barf)

It shows many interviews with Ken Lay, Chenney, FERC(Federal Energy Resources Comittee?) chairman, and other people. These interviews were conducted in May 2001, shown as a side bar for a few seconds on each interview, maybe to give the illusion that the interviews were done recently, long before Enron filed for Chapter 11. PBS shows that Ken Lay and Enron tried to influence the Government energy policy to benefit Enron. PBS showed the stellar climbs of Enron showing Enron became one of the top 10 largest company in USA as of Fortune 500 list in 2001. I screamed saying "it became so huge before Bush Administration you Idiot!!!" But PBS wanted to potray as if it became big after Bush Administration.

This program is nothing but rubbish, total CR*PS as far as I'm concern. Totally biased! Never in a single instance it mentioned what and how Enron became so huge during Clinton administration. PBS just wanted to show how Enron tried to buy influence in government energy policy. PBS failed to mention that the change in energy policy, where it would deregulate the trade of energy, and everyone can buy or sell to anyone regardless the location of the sources and recepients, would actually drive the prices of the energy down because every producer must become efficient in order to compete. It is also beneficial for the producers because they can sell their excess capacity to anyone which leads to cheaper production cost. In other words, if the energy policy is deregulated, there will be abundance of energy for everyone (execept for Hawaii :( due to no grid connection to other states) at lower prices.

PBS is so biased in its reporting of Enron, I think we should stop funding PBS and let PBS compete faily and squarely with other networks. If PBS can not compete, let it die!!!

Are we surprised? I remember way back when NPR and PBS used to do whole news programs on the heroic Sandinistas of Guatemala. They boast that they offer another point of view. Sure. The other news outlets are left wing, but PBS is Far Left Wing.

Bill Moyers has become a VERY wealthy man throughtout the years of hosting/producing PBS specials. Unfortunatly, before you even see the show, you sorta know it will containe a bias or slant that favors the left...(sigh)

??? It was live here in the Bay Area on KQED. Might have been a call made by your local Democratic Party (G)?
