He also wrote the above quote, so I surmise that Sgt. Burton is large and Black or White and definitely pissed about what he has been reading from the press!

It could also be a lie, because a Sgt. would not usually dis-respect a true reporter that way and if the Sgt. suspected fake credentials he would have put the bag on the guy holding them and confiscated the papers, that is why I suspect the writer is a liar!!

I don't think he was so much of a liar as playing to the center. He's trying to win friends and influence people. Just last week he published a pro gun story about a Chinese restaurant owner who had took his legal gun out on a delivery, against the rules, and shot a would-be mugger with a knife in a stairwell in Harlem. A struggle ensed, and he shot him in the leg. His accomplice is at large. (The Chinese guy had been mugged about 4X in the last 3 years). Just the fact that he had that column about a prevented robbery printed makes me believe that he is anti-PC. IOW, I think he's legit. The New York Slimes would NEVER print such a report. -FReegards.
