BLEAH!
A handcuffed protester strikes a rude pose after cops arrested a bunch of anti-World Economic Forum demonstrators in the East Village yesterday.
February 4, 2002 -- THE cops in riot gear rushed forward with such intensity, a dozen of us protesters crashed into the table of a panic-stricken merchant selling oil paintings.

...and did you ever consider covering those 'legitimate gripes', Mr. Reporter?
Because the '400-word suckup to authority' piece market is a little oversupplied, about now.
No, that's for other reporters to do. He can't cover everything, you know.
I guess down under means bending an spreading in your language.
Your a turd, Burton should have given you a right forearm to your forehead.
I was there and I saw the Palestinian flag and the black flag.
Go back with your loser friends and despise the USA.
Tell them if they hit us again... they're too small. We grow them big up here.
You're a fay boy who needs a good ass-kicking. God bless the USA!
They can't even have a coherent message of what their "legitmate gripes" are on their own websites, so how do you expect a reporter to do so?
Apparently, it's not only these spoiled loser kids "who needed a city-style ass-kicking."
Is that too much to ask of people? That they need not behave like soccer fans?
Have they ever tried to write, for example? The written word is a powerful medium for self-expression, much more likely to win friends and influence people than using fear and mob action. From what I have seen of their web sites though... the mastery of it escapes them.
Just like this no hoper of a reporter.
This type of reporting stinks, chances are that he roused peoples anger, to get a good story out of it.
It didn't work though.
Had he addressed the issues they were protesting about, it might have made a good read.
The street fight created by the WEF
And a few more waste of space reporters, just looking for the dirt.
When are people going to wake up to the fact, that had it not been for the infiltration of reporters to these demonstrations, most would pass off peacefully.
It is widely known that some elements of the press Pay people to throw a few bricks here and there, make the pictures worth more on the media market.
And some people come to FR and "throw a few bricks" to liven things up.
Yeah?
Tell that to the Post reporter, who said 'some have legitimate gripes.'
And where did I say I 'was in agreement with them'?
Sorry if I spoiled your planned mindless pile-on, nopardons.
There'll be another one coming along soon.
...and you're a gutless moron, hiding behind a computer screen, who hasn't a clue as to what he's talking about.
Maybe by the time you reach the age of eight you might be able to put a coherent post together.
You goose.
Can't you realise that now that pepper spray, riot gear and snipers on the roof have become de rigeur at protests that they'll be used against those demonstrating for our side of the spectrum, one day? Think we're gonna have GWB for ever?
These idiot loser anarchists deserve every lungful of pepper spray they get. And so do you, if you're with them.
