I think we (the LOTR problem) have been doing better lately. Few new threads have been started, and we have instead been able to have just one that acheived a lot of depth because of it's length and the seriousness of the posters. It has an unfortunate title, but hey, we can't always control the source of inspiration. I sure enjoy the topic and would like to avoid pressing our luck past any breaking point.

There was just such a flood of information in December that most of us that were trying to could not read them all, let alone comment on them and many of the posts did not receive many replies... perhaps we could be encouraged to post only one review thread on the next go-around for Two Towers, instead of individual threads for every review that was done.

Of course that assumes that the management would prefer one long thread to a bunch of little ones. I would be happy to relay the advice of the management to the others in the Tolkien circles.

Of course it would probably be a good idea to contact ecurbh, the LOTR pingmaster. Since there will be a fair amount of comment about the FOTR DVD later this year, it might be a good idea if the Lord of FR, or you moderators in his Fellowship, would give us faithful Tolkien fans our marching orders by that time.
