Good evening, Miss Palo...how are you doing this fine day? How are Bill, Happy and Lulu? You are a bit wild, doing handstands and cartwheels in the pool at swimming time...

I was ebay today, looking for ways to spend my money...foumd a wonderful piece of material, which has, among other animals, some basset hounds...I am going to make myself a basset hound pillow....If I have enough material, I will make you a pillow for a gift, in exchange for the wonderful basset calendar you sent me...hopefully no one will outbid me, and I will get my material....I love ebay...love to go shopping and spend money, without having to go out and shop in the stores...can just shop and spend right here at the old computer...

SIR - W F Deedes (Notebook, Mar. 11) might be interested to know that I met Lady Munnings at a lunch party in 1954. The handbag was on her lap, with her dog inside it. She told me it had been with her in Westminster Abbey throughout the Coronation service.

When she wakes up, he will have the joy of her jumping on his head and whining in his ear to get him up
I will hear call out ''Lulu, be quiet!'' for 10 minutes
then he will arrive in yard with cup of coffee and two dogs following him
