Apparently, Noelle Bush tried to get a prescription drug by fraud. This falls under the fraud statutes of the state at the very least. Jeb has to show that he is willing to apply Florida law ruthlessly and without fear or favor.

He cannot afford to lift a finger for his daughter. He can afford to love her. But he can't show favor towards her.

The Shrub will be pissed, I can tell you that much. There will be a phone call to baby brother telling him to straighten out the girl. Still, it appears that Noelle was in her early twenties and Jeb's ability to straighten her out must be open to question.

Be Seeing You,

Chris

Shrub? You a Molly Ivins fan? She "coined" that name. I never have liked her or anything she has ever written. Especially the name "shrub" she dreamed up to demean a guy that is no "shrub".

The Shrub will be pissed...

You say you're a fan of President Bush (and Ronald Reagan) and then call him a demeaning name created by that bitch Molly Ivins. Come section9! May be you belong over at democratunderground.com!, or some other rabid liberal website.

He cannot afford to lift a finger for his daughter.

BS! You don't even know all the facts yet. Your already slandering the Bush name. You don't sound like a conservative to me bucko.

Hmmmmm.....wonder what kind of phone call did 'poppi' Bush make to his son regarding the wayward granddaughters Jenna/Barbara?

Not up to Jeb to apply the law. That is what judges are for.

"The Shrub will be pissed, I can tell you that much. "

I assume you mean GW Bush? Hehe, been spending alot of time over at demon rats underground have we? At any rate I can't see that GW could get too angry. After all his family has had its share of bad press. I don't think this will amount to much. The press will make a big deal out of it of course, and Jeb might lose a few conservative votes while gaining a few liberal votes. Noelle will get probation, assuming its a first offense, and life will go on:)

You're right.

Reminiscent of the Fox series "24" in the plot element involving the son of Sen. Palmer.

Yepper. According to the Dems, Monica in her early twenties was capable of "adult" decisions -- as if diddling Clinton in the Oval Office while he discussed issues of national importance was a decision any sane adult would make (including Clinton).

But, when it comes to anyone connected to the GOP, it *must* be the parents' fault. Otherwise, the story would have never been printed, least of all picked up by national news outlets.

Then there's Chelsea who can do no harm and only gets positive press. The ol' double-standard rises again. Yep, that press is sure fair and unbiased.
