Chris, people are just wound a little tight at this story. Your conservative bona fides are all there for anyone who has been around before today.

I would react the same way that any father would react to a child with an admitted substance abuse problem: I would continue to love and support her and try to get her whatever help she needs. I would not support getting the government morality squad to destroy her life; her future prospects; take away her property and children. I would not support sending her to a government rape camp., etc. You know, just like any normal loving parent.
However, our normal loving parental law makers, such as the Bushes, support doing that very thing to over 700,000 pot possesors every year in the U.S., unless one of the possessors happens to be their own children. Then they excuse themselves for rescuing their children from the grinder because "that is what any normal loving parent would do!" The public will just have to understand their loving motives in rescuing their friends and family while continuing to "make an example" of nasty "drug addicts" and "potheads".
If love and leniency is good enough for their kids, it's good enough for mine. If my kid has to fry (I don't actually have kids), so does theirs!

CNN saying prescription drugs. Charged with fraud. That could include everything from birth control to allergy medicine (like Alegra) as well as things like qualudes.

And we wonder why Chelsea's underage drinking parties in Aspen were never, ever mentioned. Shhhhh. Not for public release. You know only what they tell you to know. "He who controls communications rules the world." Why do you think they're after the internet for "hate talk?"

You definitely need to calm down bucko.
BTW, you owe President Bush an apology.
And I owe you nothing, whiner.
And if you continue to call the President, Shrub, and I see it, I'll call your dumbbutt on it from now, until eternity.

Ah, nothing like the smell of hypocrisy in the mornin, er, afternoon. Hey! It's just a youthfull indescretion, and all rich, privledged kids are allowed their youthfull indescretions. It's as American as mom and apple pie. Noelle will be out and popping Xanex before you know it.

Of course, Reuters found the last sentence absolutely necessary in reporting this story. I'd expect no less from RotoReuters.

That could include everything from birth control to allergy medicine (like Alegra) as well as things like qualudes. We already know that it was Xanax - anti-anxiety medication that is highly addictive. I have seen senior citizens beg for the stuff.

PS...The smell of Libertarians and DU dirupters is getting really bad. You folks should try bathing your brains once in awhile, and you're taking up band space.

I was wondering how long it would take the media to drag the Bush twins into the story. Not long, I see.

Xanax? ROLFLMAO! This little antianxiety pill is so popular, it's not hard to get an honest person to admit to have taken it, or is presently taking it.
Even CNN is shrugging their shoulders with this one...guess most of them have "borrowed" that little pill from one person or another, now and then..LOL!

Still, I don't see how this can hurt GWB or even Jeb very much.Me neither, considering what drug it was.

To: OldFriend
that this arrest might be a good thing.I agree. Many people become addicted to prescription drugs and don't understand what has happened to them when they hit the wall of withdrawal. This is not a political story. Not like she was out buying crack on the street.

"Now if some people on this board don't like the fact that I call him Shrub, perhaps they want to check out my pro-Bush, pro-Republican bona fides going back to 1998 "I for one couldn't care less what you call the president. You shold be aware however that some of us consider "Shrub" to be an insult. If you can't deal with that without getting your panties in a twist, then I suggest you grow a thicker skin. As for your pro-Republican bona fides... I have better things to do than remember everyones exact political leanings. I would think most others do too. Please don't post expecting everyone to be aware of every post you have ever made.

Xanax is also used as a sleeping med.
To: spectre
I have a drawer full of them; after Drew died, everybody I saw gave me some.......LOL.
And you CAN take them any time you want to; you don't have to take them every single day. You can take them when you get "the jitz."

People don't get jail time for prescription fraud in good ol' Sunny USA land, I guess. That's good to know... Oh, wait a minute, you don't have any idea what you're talking about do you? Are you sure you're not just blinded by your allegiance to the carefully sculpted public persona of G.W. Bush?
