I totally agree with you. I think he did commit suicide but I have to think it was to protect his loved ones. That way no one will ever be able to prove he didn't off himself all on his own.
Yep, if someone threatened me or my family members I sure would leave my 10 year old daughter, 16 year old son and wife to live with loss and grief for the rest of their lives, rather than meet that threat with force. This is especally true if I had $35 million and therefore could afford all the force or protection that I might need. I'd just say "Gee, they might hurt my kids if I don't kill myself" and drive right off and do it. It's scary, now that my enemies know how to get rid of me.

It's not rocket science, and it was the first thing I thought of -- not a concocted suicide.
He had every chance of sliding on this one via immunity. He was supposedly a relatively ethical man, so one has to wonder -- who has friends so close that, even after you tried to correct them, even after you get sucked deeper into the corruption they are generating, that you would rather KILL YOURSELF than to testify against them?
