Yes ---if these women's studies majors (and chicano and black studies) would change to something like medicine or engineering or computer science, they might find their problems evaporating. But then they wouldn't need all those "minority" group type studies.

It's easier to cut it in "women's stdies". "black studies", and "Chicano studies" than it is in accounting, engineering etc. What you're generally getting here is people who usually cannot handle technical education, the kind of education that actually gets them a job or prepares them for graduate school.
