Everyone starts somewhere. But even the veterans (or folks that have been here longer than I) still do not check (or maybe they do and just don't care, in which case a duplicate post is nothing more than a vanity post) and post the same things that have already been posted. I guess when I read a posted thread, I like to see all the comments pertaining to it in one place, not on 4 threads on the same subject with same titles, etc.

"when I read a posted thread, I like to see all the comments pertaining to it in one place, not on 4 threads on the same subject with same titles, etc." I agree with you, I was just pointing out that people don't automatically "know" how to use the search feature or how to avoid other kinds of errors. . And I know I have had a problem on a couple of occasions when I have done a search using the exact article title and gotten a return message "No Posts Found" only to get flamed for a duplicate post. It can happen. I'm sure there are those who don't bother and maybe even some who are dense enough not to realize it's a problem. Maybe some don't care. I think that is unlikely regarding most posters here though. I would hope so anyway.
