Money from Davis’ golf outing goes to the California state Democratic Party and thus is not subject to any federal reporting requirements or other limitations. The state party plans to use the money as part of its coordinated campaign effort to elect Gore.
This is how the Dems. get away with sounding like they're concerned with "appearances of impropriety." They hide and sneak. Most of their contributions go to the party and are thus unreported...I would bet. They have this "game" down.
