The point is not that Kristol did anything wrong by being on the board.

Many a journalist is going to pore over the Standard's pages over the last handful of years and if there's even a wrinkle of support -- not just for the company but for its positions -- its going to be dredged up. No matter that energy dereg is something that any conservative should probably support, this will taint Kristol and the Standard.

And I'll bet, unlike the nailed Krugman, Kristol has never offered a full disclosure for his involvment with Enron. He sure didn't when I saw him talking about it on Fox News Sunday Morning.
