While I am all for self confidence and confronting spin with truth, IMO O'Reilly has become so strident lately that I no longer tune in to his program. Apparently he lost some big bucks in the Enron fiasco and completely lost his self control with Neil Cavuto the other day when Cavuto was simply trying to educate him about the market.

Meantime, OReilly insists theres still no network radio deal - and wont be - until hes sure Limbaughs hearing will improve following cochlear implant surgery last month. (Doctors say its a very good possibility.) "I dont want to be accused of exploiting that situation," OReilly said.
Stung by what he called "vicious" criticism that his radio debut was timed to take advantage of Limbaughs deafness, OReilly ordered an immediate halt to radio negotiations before Thanksgiving.
Anyone who has listened to Rush knows that he has compensated completely for his hearing loss. Bill just got cold feet! He didn't want people saying that he lost out to a deaf guy!

More power on the right. If O'Reilly can save even a few people from the mental plantation of leftist/big media, great.

I have cut my view time of FOX down significantly. I think that O'Reilly has become 'full of himself'. Don't watch him. Don't watch Rivera. Don't watch Juan Williams. Certainly won't watch Greta. I am fed up with Alan Colms. Don't watch them. So much for 'fair and balanced'. FOX is looking more and more like CNN. IMHO.

I wrote Oreilly an email addressing just that along with the way he handled the attorney for the New York fireman.Did you happen to see the look in his eyes while addressing Cavuto and the attorney?Oreilly has done a good job and brought a lot of attention in areas that need it but I believe he is becoming a fanatic and power hungry. Also I mentioned what Brent Bozell had said to him on that same show and I believe Bozell to be correct in his thinking about FOX going after CNN & MSNBCs also rans.I never watched SEXY Paula when she was at FOX and I wont watch the Clinton talking heads Susteran and Rivera. If FOX is not careful their ratings will drop drastically I believe.

Cavuto was laying out the Enron spin, he was pimping as bad as Lanny Davis ever did.

For the umpteenth time. O'Reilly is NOT a conservative. He rails against high taxes and then advocates myriad government programs. He's an out of control populist who I refer to as a "know it all who knows little".

You are 100% correct. FNC lost me when they hired Geraldo. I couldn't get to the remote fast enough last night and was subjected to Hannity's "butt kissing" of Geraldo. I look for FNC to "implode" with all of the in-house competition. The survivors will be Geraldo, Alan, Greta, and Rita.

O'Reiley is the king. Last night he had to have a guy's mic turned off three times because he kept talking over him. On the last time he said "That's it urn his mic off forever"
GO BILL!!!!

"I dont want to be accused of exploiting that situation," OReilly said. What a patronizing statement. Rush will kick O'Reilly into obscurity whether his hearing returns or not.

Here's what I wrote on another thread, which I'd like to share: Hannity is a rock solid conservative. O'Reilly repeatedly says he's not a conservative, and he's not! O'Reilly takes shots at Rush, too. And I can tell he listens to both Rush and Hannity on the radio, because I find him repeating word-for-word some of their points in a way that can't come from any other source. And I thought O'Reilly was going to take on Rush? I guess he lost his nerve. This guy is starting to believe his own self-serving press and he's letting his cable ratings cloud his thinking. I always see it reported that O'Reilly's number 1 in ratings. Well, who is he up against? Brian Williams -- big deal. Hannity defeated Rivera, then Fox hires Rivera. Hannity goes head-to-head with Larry King, and ties or beats King on most nights, too. If O'Reilly goes head-to-head with Hannity on the radio, Hannity will knock (the "non-conservative") O'Reilly down a couple of notches. GO SEAN GO!

I can no longer stand Hannity or O' Reilly. It's not just over exposure, either. To me, both seem shallow and noisy. Speaking as a resident of the NYC listening area, I would hate to lose an hour of the king of talk radio, Bob Grant..

I read your post on the other thread after I had posted my own remarks about O'Reilly. It's good to know that I'm on the same wave length as you concerning Hannity and O'Reilly, for I both admire your no-nonsense TV presentations and your clear thinking. 'Sure wish you were on TV more often to clear the air!
To: Bill S
Amen to that. O'Reilly is no more conservative than Jim Jeffords. One need look no further than his anti-SUV rants to see that.
I've had it with O'Reilly. He's an arrogant, shameless self-promoter who spends most of his time lambasting people for, how dare they, questioning his "overwhelming intellectual superiority."
Needless to say, I'll not be listening to him on the radio either.
To: Bill S
Re your # 9...
(O'reilly is)... an out of control populist who I refer to as a "know it all who knows little".What you say may or may not be true. But then who in the media do you deem as being more informed while at the same time being less popular?
By the way, is there something wrong with trying to be popular?
Perhaps applauding the proclaimations and advice of some undefined media outlet serving a smaller elitist group (versus the "people")in our country carries more weight and accuracy in news broadcasting for you...But I haven't discovered such a group as yet....Have you?

Its not Enron spin its simple facts. If you treat the stock market with no respect think you can beat the odds and invest large sums of money in one company then you get what you deserve. Stick to conservative index funds for longterm investments and stocks themselfs for a little swing, day trading with a small amount of money.

If O'Reilly goes head-to-head with Hannity on the radio, Hannity will knock (the "non-conservative") O'Reilly down a couple of notches. Radio has a way of taking the clothes off people's philosophies. The radio audience can hear a lie or 'half truth' coming out real quick. In fact, that is the reason liberals don't last on the radio, because we can hear them too well. I wish O'Reilly the best but if he thinks he can 'appear' to be a conservative when he's really not, he will get knocked down. The truth is crystal clear and that is why Rush and Hannity have nothing to fear.

You are forgetting one thing. These bums cooked the books. If our largest companies can use these methods to loot the market you better put your money in your mattress.
