I know, and that's what I meant I wasn't convinced was going to happen. How much it backfires on the Democrats has everything to do with the administration's willingness to release everything, warts and all. If they don't step up to the plate (and much as I hate to say it, Cheney is the weak link here), the Democrats will have a field day, and carry the public's sympathies.
None of us like it, but this is what politics are all about.
The problem is, that while more and more people are invested in the market, ( pension plans ) few understand it at all.
