Hmm. So, everyone really believes that there is no prejudice by whites against blacks? I admit that prejudice is less than it used to be, but it is there. Whites have become more discrete about prejudice while blacks are where whites were 30 years ago. Given that, blacks will become just as covert in racism as whites.

And not all whites hate blacks and not all blacks hate whites. Just like all Muslims don't want to kill Christians. Sure, it is EASY to make broad generalizations about race and religion. But it just makes the problems worse.

I don't believe anyone's made that argument. I have stated that there are legal and civil remedies for injurious racism, but that legislating equality is a far cry from changing peoples' minds. Certainly racism -- prejudice anyway -- exists. But that isn't necessarily a crime, unless it violates the expanded "equal protection" doctrine the activist Supreme Court manufactured in the civil rights years.

Besides, the core of the article was that white racism is more pernicious than black racism, a charge I vehemently reject.

Actually, I Think that it had / has more to do with where one lived / lives.

Growing up, I never saw any " racism " at all. I played / had friends of all races and religions. Everyone I knew did. In boarding school , though there weren't as many blacks, as there are today, the blacks were treated as everyone else was. I'm talking about the '40's,'50's , and early '60's.

I can also tell you, that Roy Campanella would NOT allow his children to play with blacks. He woudn't allow his step-son ( who was one of my best friends ! ) to go to Harlem . I never understood why, and David didn't explain; just complained to me about that.

No. In fact I'll bet no one believes that. I never said anything even remotely resembling this, and I double-dog dare you to find any words to this effect in any posts of mine.

There is racism by whites against blacks. And there is racism by blacks against whites. In short, there is racism. It is a part of the human condition.

Your response is nonsensical because it has nothing to do with anything I wrote. You have changed what I have written and then responded to this (erroneous, falsified) statement which no one ever said in the first place. It is precisely as if I wrote a post saying

Two plus two equals four.

and then you wrote back in response to this,

Hey Dr. Frank, two plus two is NOT seventeen!

I guess the technical term for this type of thing is "non sequitur", or something. In any event it is rather irritating. In the future if you are going to respond to one of my posts please try to actually read and comprehend it first. Thanks,
