...as a matter of fact, this smacks of a similar argument this afternoon, regarding a couple of libertarians.............is that it?....

NO!

Get a grip on yourself, for crying out loud. I can't be a libertarian, I'm a Christian.

But since you brought up the libertarian thing, do you remember the way they were hammered here, over raising concerns about this stupid and unnecessary and disgracefully-named Patriot Act? And now, (surprise, surprise) the opportunists are already moving in, to abuse it for their own purposes. The President should have damn well foreseen the likelihood of that happening.

I'll make the prediction that he was either too hurried or too thoughtless to make; that this 'Patriot' Act, will be abused in ways we cannot yet dream of. And it will be principally used not against terrorists but against ordinary Americans; perhaps especially, patriots.

Actually the so called patriot act, is a handle that was given to it by the media and detractors of the bill. Look it up.
