Dan,

I am your fellow believer in Christ. I am still offended at your blanket condemnation of 'Keyesters' as 'Kultists'. Your attitude thereafter, when it was pointed out to you in black and white, was far from exemplary as well, IMO.

Let me remind you once again that I know far more of them than you do, and while there may be a small handful of 'nuts' (as there is in any large group), the VAST majority are mature, thinking, principled Christians who think for themselves, and make their political decisions based on those core beliefs. One last time...your assessment of them is just plain wrong.

All of that being said, your unresponsiveness is now between you and our Lord...I have totally rolled this on Him, having done what I could do to get you to see that what you did was unrighteous...you and He can deal with it henceforth.

As to whether Alan Keyes is condescending or arrogant...how many politicians or media types or Harvard Doctors have you known? Pride is an epidemic in Washington D.C...if ego sold by the pound there, it would be going for about .02 cents per.

But let's say for the sake of argument that pride is a besetting sin of Alan Keyes...it wouldn't be surprising that a Christian man such as he would have to work to not be overcome by that sin, wouldn't you say?...especially someone of Keyes' obvious intelligence and abilities.

But I have watched the man up close and personal many, many times...he has in most every case been humble...praying willingly with those who ask him to do so...staying far beyond a scheduled event because there were still people who had questions...I have also seen fatigue get the best of him and seen him slip. (How about you Dan...you ever slip into your besetting sins in moments of weakness?) (If you had to keep the schedule he kept for the last few years fighting for the conservative cause, you'd be tired and irritable at times as well.)

No matter how you and others attempt to tear the man down, the truth is he has already done more for our country and for our cause than all of his critics combined...and then some...even with his faults.

Remember this...the President has had to struggle with the same sin...don't you remember 'the smirk'?? He has by a force of will and the grace of God overcome that tendency almost entirely...to his credit.

"Condemn not, lest thou be condemned."

EV, you are not Dan's judge and this is very offensive to me as a Christian that you see yourself in a position to tell him his actions were unrighteous. It is okay to disagree and point out all your reasons why, but this attitude as if you look down from your high place is way out of line.

This is the essence of Keyes himself. This moral uppity-ness is exactly why Keyes has negatively affected many.

But you don't get it, do you? You must actually consider yourself to somehow be better. In matters spiritual, not one of us can judge the righteousness of another with any authority. That authority belongs to only One.

You can opine but cross the line when you speak as an equal to the only Judge. That is what you have done here but I now you will try to justify it or twist it.

Some deep soul searching might be in order. You can accuse me of being nasty or whatever you want but I suggest you pause.
