There is no regulative principle when it comes to purifying the church...you DO it when evil creeps in.

YOU? Doesn't God have anything to say about it? Oh, I get it "divine inspiration" allowing YOU to destroy the very house He built!

How do we know Calvin wasn't the evil you describe?

As for the rest of your answer... I don't believe in your version of the bible... prove to me it's the correct version!

Actually, Mary didn't say it. Gabriel did. (First chapter of Luke)

And this proves that prayer to Mary (or any other saints) is effective how? Or even that one is to proffess an admiration for Mary (supposing we decide to not call it prayer)-she is now dead, whereas in the two verses you cited she was living and present before the speaker. And as far repetive prayer, I would note two things: first, Jesus did not apparently say the same words and second, he was addressing the Father, not anyone else.

Yep, Mary said it. Duh. Even I knew that.

Thought you Calvinists knew Scripture. You are of course wrong. Those words were spoken by the Angel informing Mary that she was to give birth to the Son of God and her cousin Elizabeth. Guess your lack of free will prevented you from knowing that.

Then you do not know what graven means. For you it means only statues. Well, your ignorance is showing.

Where is predestination in the Bible?

Eph 1:5 5 he PREDESTINED us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with HIS pleasure and WILL--

There you go. End of story.

I've met people who don't understand why the Jews celebrate Chanukah. I tell them to check out the Maccabees. It's like an entire portion of Hebrew history blocked out because of a few references that didn't support certain people's doctrine.

Uh, it is the completed Canon? how does that suffice.

Anyway, in regards to the you comment, God calls people to leave unclean churches (and yes, this would apply to any Protestant churches also that are unclean). This is Scriptural. Look it up.

But doesn't Eph. 1:13 suggest that the person's will is involved if he's required to believe the gospel? "In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation- HAVING ALSO BELIEVED, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise"

Jesus did not worship his mother, nor did he once pray to her or elevate her. In fact, he downplayed her, stressing a far greater importance upon being his disciple, in Mark 3:31-35. And the fact that he honored her does not at all imply to me that I am to honor his mother-my own yes, but why his?

you killed

proud2brc killed millions? Should someone call the authorities? My uncle and 2 young cousins were murdered here in Belfast by Protestants because they were Catholic...would it be fair for me to infer that you're guilty because you're Protestant also?

Wrong. It is only the predestined that God causes to believe.

Sorry for your relatives being murdered by Prots. That is just as evil.

I did not intend to say you as in proud, I meant you as in the Catholic church.
