How many people are aware of the hundreds of millions of dollars the government has forced companies to spend cleaning up residential and commercial areas that contained minute amounts of lead? Lead deposited many years ago by companies, most of which are no longer in business, but who may have present day "successors". Always done to protect "the children". A hypothetical child ingesting a hypothetical amount of soil every day equals an immediate emergency requiring drastic action! (Cases in point: Midvale, Utah; Kellogg, Idaho; Bartlesville, Oklahoma; Butte, Montana; Joplin, Missouri; etc. etc.) Should we apply this same model to any area frequented by racoons? Who would pay? Present day descendents of fur trappers? Is there enough money in the country to to this clean-up?

What about porcupine feces? There was a recent case of a postal worker who dumped such said poop on his former coworkers.

I reckon it's time for me to clean-out all those racoon turds in my attic. Racoon feces mixed with fiberglass insulation....what a great way to spend a weekend.
