By way of contrast, here's the Washington Post's sycophantic view of poor Buddy's demise:

He died in the street Wednesday afternoon, near the home that Clinton and Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) share in Chappaqua, N.Y. The couple were in Acapulco, Mexico, vacationing with their daughter, Chelsea. The family is "devastated," said Julia Payne, a spokeswoman for the former president. ...

When pup and master met for the first time in the Oval Office, "he stuck right to the president right away, like, 'That's my dad!' " Glen Maes, a Clinton steward who helped with Buddy's training, recalled yesterday. "It was pretty neat. They were born to be together." ...

In her book, "Dear Socks, Dear Buddy: Kids' Letters to the First Pets," Hillary Clinton wrote: "While he loves to wander around, Buddy has always managed to find his way back to the Oval Office, and he seems most at home in the company of the president. When he arrives at the door and finds it closed, he stands patiently outside until someone lets him in. I wish everyone could see my husband beam when 'his Buddy' tears down the hall to welcome him home after he's been away for a day or two."

I bet that's actually true. All the more reason to wonder how anyone could abandon a pet. My household has two dogs and five cats -- all rescues.

Isn't total submissiveness a beautiful thing to see?

The Washington Post has long been Clintons faithful tail-wagging little doggie.

Who knows, maybe Clinton WAS Buddy's dad. He'll screw anything female!

OMG! What horrific tripe!

I can't believe they would even print such sap! I'm glad we're not allowed to post articles from that fawning fish wrap.

If Hillary wrote that book, I'm the Pope.

Monica must've been inside...
