Work together to do their jobs??????? That's what Bush has been asking and dumdum wants an issue for 2002, not a good idea!! He thinks he is going to have Bush on the economy....he's the one standing i the way so he can have his issue!

This speech is living proof that Democrats don't even know the most elementary basics about money or economics. While I agree, this speech is not about money or economics. It's about politics. The Dems are scared witless (if they have any) about the 2002 elections during a war and a Pres with 70+ approval ratings. This is a pathetic attempt to scare people and undermine the Bush administration. Near treason IMO.

The "Homeland security" issue must be a big "Pork Barrel" spending troft for the democRATS, since when have they ever cared about National security? they were always to busy taking funds from defense and puting them into social programs

This comes shortly after Clinton summons the troops to herald his gospel and pump his legacy. Does he have any leverage over Daschle?

To: Stars N Stripes
watch how he can't move his eyes from the prompters, even though he moves his head.Let's count the number of newspaper articles discussing how ill at ease he is with public speaking -- like they do Bush.

This is getting boring even for CNN, they just went back to normal programming after 1/2 hour. Question is why, in a middle of a war, would CNN play this. nO wonder their rating are slipping JC WATTS ON NOW!
To: Stars N Stripes; Jewels1091
ROFLMAO............he is HORRIBLE. I hope he is there standard bearer; for some reason, I don't think Daschle can "grow into the job."

I believe the Dems should be a bit concerned about their chances here in 2002. WOT and Bush's ratings aside, the horse they're beating (the economy) is already set for a strong recovery by the end of Q2 2002 (based on what I've been able to research, and based on the experts I talk to).
