Specifically he was nominated for Senate from Maryland twice. This is equal to the total number of nominations that President Bush received prior to being nominated for President. It is also two more nominations than IKE received before he was nominated for President. I realize that Bush was elected Governor, I never claimed that Keyes was more experienced politically than the President.

In any case the point was made in response to a poster who was saying that Keyes was the candidate of the Libertarian party, and was not a Republican. Is that your view? Now back into your cave, until your Dark Lord summons you.
