I could be wrong too, but here is what I've seen. What they have in common is bashing the President and his policies. From the time I first started keeping track......Kristol started with "Bush's first major failure in foreign policy" with the downed plane incident with China. In the mean time, Keyes likes to beat up on the domestic policy. (Though with his foreign policy experience in the UN, you'd think he might have more to say......alas, that must be the Kristol domain.) Anyway, when you put that together with the fact that Kristol ran Keyes senate campaign, and they were college roomates.....you have to admit, it makes you scratch your head.......
And during the campaigning, he did try to bring out foreign policy differences.
Frankly, I don't remember, but I think Keyes didn't agree with how Bush handled the spy plane thing with China....and most of the first year was domestic policy--getting appointments submitted, looking at the current budget, planning for the next, the faith based, ESCR,etc. I do believe when immigration and trade come up, Keyes will have a lot to say.
My head doesn't scratch over Kristol and Keyes...I see nothing that would pull them towards each other -- even as a friendship from college thing...Keyes is heavy into speaking at pro life events, as well as other events, I imagine he's involved to some degree with the Declaration Foundation, there's a Black New Leadership group, not to mention his family.
Well, good evening
