Yes, Keyes continued to run,
even after he had no chance of winning.
He also decided to run to began with,
even though he had no chance of winning.
The reason is the same in both instances.
To put his ideas into action.
He has no moral requirement
to refrain from running for office,
even if the cause seems hopeless.
I believe what they are saying is that his campaign remains open, and he's still collecting money from anyone stupid enough to send it, even though the election was over a year ago.
I haven't fact checked this myself, but it's been alleged on many Keyes threads recently.
He was continuing to run for president AFTER George Bush had the nomination and it was almost Election Day. Over three whole months AFTER the convention.
Why was he running for POTUS when somebody ELSE already had the place on the ticket??????
