Here is the article from the Oklahoma paper, from KEYES OWN WEB SITE:

Read the whole thing here.

Here is the opening paragraph of the article, of which apparently he is quite proud, since he has posted his smiling face beside it:

Doggedly refusing to consider the Republican race settled, Alan Keyes told Oklahomans that Texas Gov. George W. Bush can't win the presidency because he lacks the skills to expose the ``great moral betrayal'' of the Clinton administration. Ending a two-day campaign stop in the state Friday, Keyes stuck mainly to religious and philosophical themes as he decried a society he said is more dependent on government than God.

This is from his OWN WEB SITE. His comments were not helpful to the campaign, and were, indeed, petty.

************************

You have a strange idea of "petty."

Allan Keyes "doggedly" ran for the Republican nomination from the begining.
Everybody said from that begining that he didn't have a chance.

Keyes ran for office because he didn't see anyone else
that cared about the violations he saw happening.
It isn't petty to try to right the wrongs you see around you.

Bush was acknowledged
as the only possible winner
of the Republican nomination,
yet there were 6 other candidates
for the position.

Were all of Bush's other challengers "petty" as well?

Let me see here.

Bush has said,"Let's move on" about the Clinton stuff.

"Keyes stuck mainly to religious and philosophical themes.

The only thing that I see that Keyes had wrong was the "Bush can't win".
