The biblical response is take someone with you and reprove, rebuke, and if they don't hear you or receive the truth, recognize them as in error and false and go out the door...from such turn away, dust off your feet, have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness. They are of their father, the devil and you cannot compromise with Truth. Ecumenicism is, of course, of the devil and the antichrist and most who say they are Christians seem to practice some form of ecumenicism.
I wasn't suggesting Benny Hinn wasn't false. He likely is false. I was suggesting that Hannegraff may also be equally false. I used to listen to Hannegraff on the radio, then started seeking the Lord and the Lord pointed out many more were false than I had thought and I think Hannegraff spouts many of the false doctrines of the day. Read false prophets (click here). Scott Hofstee who accurately prophesied the WTC fall before it happened wrote that anyone selling their ministry is false and that seems right even though it includes a most ministries including radio and tv ministries and the whole Christian Book Seller's Convention.

As to whither Hanegraaff is also a false teacher. (And by false teacher, we mean someone who is wrong on major doctrine, not minor doctrine or has bad motives.) I would argue that Hank is OK. He is annoying at times, and sometimes gives bad answers to callers on The Bible Answer Man. If it helps consider some of the guests he has had on his show: RC Sproul, Norm Geisler, James White, John MacArthur, etc. These men are regarded as sound Biblical teachers. I don't think they would be on his show if he was leading people astray.
You mentioned a guy named Scott Hofstee, who said that selling ministries implied a false teacher? That's a little off the wall (if I'm understanding you right.) It simply does not fit the definition of a false teacher. He (Hofstee) needs to provide a Biblical arguement to support that statement. (Having a prophecy come true is not proof, see Deut 13:1-3). And didn't Paul talk about people preaching the gospel for selfish reasons. I believe that Paul said he was glad that the gospel was getting preach.
