We have at least that much, and it still looks to me that it is "light snow," as they are calling it. More coming this way this afternoon!

Yeah!!! I am watching WRAL right now - possibly (very!) 2-4 more inches!!!! Where ya from?

It's still snowing here at 5:45am. Looks like about 6 inches on my car hood but drifts in the driveway are higher than that. Beautiful to see. When daylight comes, I'll have to break up the ice in the water tub for my dog and cats....brrrrrrr.

Just started snowing in Dothan, Alabama about 30 minutes ago. My roof is turning white, but nothing is sticking on the lawn as of yet. Yee-haw. I ran upstairs to wake up my 14 year old son to look out his window. He said "Mo-om" like it's 5 in the morning or something. :)

6 inches on the deck rail and it's still coming down at 6:25. Work is officially closed so I get to curl up with the cat today. Maybe I'll plan my garden.

If it's not over 3 ft. I don't get scared.
If the power goes out, I go to a hotel where they have it.
Summer storms are the ones to watch out for.
Tornados and hurricanes are deadly.

I woke up at the usual time. But....UGA is closed today. So, I don't have to go to work. Ha! Ha! Ha!
So I fed Laura (who is totally spoiled), but I can't go back to sleep.
P.S. What do you do with a baby goat who has gotten used to staying in the house by the wood stove?

The Boogie liked the snow this morning. It reminds him of his giant ancestors in the far north of Lapland breaking through the snow, trudging across the tundra at 5:ooAM
I on the other hand had to dig out my old work boots, put on two pair of pants, my winter coat
I don't like winter; that's why I live in Newport News.
And he was so worn out pushing all that snow I had to carry him snow caked fur and all back up the stairs.

I don't know...leave her by the stove? I'm still trying to deal with cat claws on my face at 3 in the morning!

Is Laura a child or the baby goat? Ha! I've got cats and a dog (135lb. golden retriever) to feed and water tub ice to break up.

What do you do with a baby goat who has gotten used to staying in the house by the wood stove?Put down lots-n-lots-n-lots of newspaper.

Laura is the baby goat. Her twin brother is GW (I wonder wher I got those names from). My children are 19 and 21. They call the animals our "therapy goats". LOL.
It is still snowing here is NE Georgia.
Our local Sheriff's deputies are checking on the elderly and sick using their 4 wheelers. I love living in a rural county.

Good morning, Howlin. WRAL says we got 7 inches overnight and sleet/light snow falling now with, as you said, 2-3 more inches to come later today from a 2nd patch of precipitation now making its way through Alabama and Georgia.
Hubby is getting ready to head out. (He goes to work, rain, sleet, snow, hurricane - except for 2 years ago - his place of business - retailing - did close - one of the few times ever).
I however will be working from home today. I just don't do snow driving well and, yes, I am a coward when it comes to being around other crazies who think they can drive in this mess - but can't!
To: Howlin
Well no snow yet in East Tennessee *sigh*. I can see North Carolina from my house. I figured we would not get any snow after I when to the store of supplies.

Hey guys, is all this Snow and Cold Weather due to GLobal Warming? (I can never keep up on the net effects of Global Warming, last I heard Global Warming was responsible for Clinton's Bad Poll Numbers and the Recent Problems in Florida with counting votes!)
To: Howlin
better you than me, howlin! my kids are en route to school on a snowless first day back in No.VA!!
