You forgot the mention that these great achievements by the Arabic culture, and they were great, were before radical Islam took hold of them and swept them to the dark ages where they remain today. If that had not happened the Middle East would perhaps rival Western Civilization today. This is one of the reasons why I fear all religions when they move to fundamentalist extremes. Yes, the Middle Eastern civiliation created zero and algebra, but that was along time ago. "What have you done for my lately?" You take their best and compare it to the west's worst. Reality is any invention since 1600 AD has been western, and im not typing this from an arabic PC, or watching a Mexican TV.
