Its not just agri-business any more, Dr. Many of the jobs they take merely reflect the greed of employers. Construction is a good example. Jobs that paid 15.00 to 20.00 per hour 15 years ago are now paying 6.00 to 8.00 per hour and even the foremen are generally bi-lingual, so as to be able to communicate with both the crew and the business owner. 570 posted on 1/2/02 12:58 PM Pacific by Ridin' Shotgun

And home constructions costs to the buyer are higher than ever, the savings aren't passed on. Homes have never been less affordable, they aren't cheaper in areas of the country that use illegals, in fact they're probably more affordable when it's American labor building them.
