The then we lose statement was in reference to the fact that we must worry about being called names when debating a subject. Calling someone a name is the way to deflect attention from the subject to the author. It is a time tested way of those hating freedom, to stifle dissent and to keep others from joining in. It also will tend to make those not committed stay out of the fray, and polarizes everyone involved. The way to defeat the trick of being called names is to ignore it, and stay on point. Unless we do that, we lose every time.

Having threads & comments removed, sans any explanation, is insidious. Makes one wonder what negative motivations may drive the forum. If this thing is supposed to be open, the frequent, secret police action is surely killing discussion. I'm happy to read & see when I or anyone inserts-foot-in-mouth-it is a cleansing experience. This rabid, paranoid fear of anything anyone calls racist, personal attacks, etc is PC trash, killing any chance of open discussion. Makes me wonder what this place is. It is repleat with people who are weak minded, unfreindly & scared to even see anything they deem BAD!! Abuse constitutes anything unpleasant. We ( our society ) & this board are subserviant to weaklings & PC trash.
