It started against the romans, then the Saxons, Angles, Jutes, then the Vikings, Normans, then a brief period of a united european front during the christian crusades, then the French, Spanish, French again, Spanish and French again, the portuguese here and there, the French again, Prussians, Russians, French again, and again along with a bit of a crisis with the spaniards, You Americans only wish you could have fought the French as much as we have, reading the history books, it seems to have been good fun.
