Doublespeak. "Ironic" is the new word for "hypocrite."

"I have a question since you seem so concerned about the Palestinians and a homeland for them. Does it concern you at all that the Kurds would also like a homeland and the Arabs won't give them one? The Arabs don't seem to object at all when the Iraqis spray thousands of women and babies with chemicals and slaughter hundreds of thousands of them. The Arabs are nothing but supreme hypocrits in my opinion." -- FITZ Your sarcasm keeps me from beating you to a pulp.
To: Buckeroo
I'm so scared. You still don't explain why it's okay for Iraqis to deny Kurds a homeland and why they get away with slaughtering hundreds of thousands of Kurd citizens. I'd rather be a Palestinian in Israel than a Sunni Muslim Kurd in Iraq or any other Muslim country. Palestinian defenders really don't care about homelands.

I would like to double the aid given to Israel just to show the fu***ng Arabs and other terrorists, that their crimes do not pay. I think it's a great investment. Appeasing the scumbags never works. Everytime there is an act of Moslem terror, I would increase the aid to Israel, and give them extra weapons.
To: FITZ
I wager that YOU are scared. Now ask an intelligent question as oppossed to mouthing popular press BS.
To: Buckeroo
Why don't you go to the Arab states and demand a homeland for the Kurds? Do you believe they should not have one? Why aren't Arabs standing up to the Iraqis to protect these Muslims? I see a double standard here. Okay to deny a homeland, and commit genocide on one set of Muslims ---if it's the Muslims themselves doing it, but not right to deny a homeland to another group.

Why do you feel that this problem is fundamentally Muslim in origin?
To: imperator2
I think the Sept 11 attacks have made this about our self-defense. Aid to Israel is an interesting side topic, but we should destroy anyone who attacks American citizens on US soil. I don't believe it was about our aid to Israel anyhow because it seems they have a lot of problems with India too.

You think too much.

Dennisw recently stated that he had a six month subscription to spotlite and that he liked the articles which didn't bash Israel. Does that mean dennis is an Islamic Firster, neo-nazi? Guilt by association. A big no no.

QUIT FORCING ME TO FUND ABORTIONS and I might be willing to talk more.
Actually, I think helping Israel is SELFISHLY in America's best interests for a list of reasons. It just so happens that pleasing THE BOSS is the first one of even those.
Helping a key alley in a strategic location is not a bad reason either. . . I suspect their intell contributions to the U.S. over the decades alone have been worth it.

"Like the ABM treaty? Anything can be negotiated." The ABM treaty contained specific language allowing either side to pull out whenever it wished--given (I think) six months notice.
And the other signatory no longer exists. Either reason would be full, sufficient and valid for our withdrawl from this flawed "treaty".

Probably for the same reasons our allies, the Turks, are also killing Kurds. If the Kurds are a reason for bombing Iraq and enforcing no-fly-zones (more than 2/3 of Iraq's airspace), we should be doing the same to Turkey.
To: Pay now bill Clinton
I know ---or at least any of the countries like Iran or Iraq who say Israel must give a homeland to the Palestinians, should have to carve out a chunk of their own land and hand it over to the Kurds. See who really believes in homelands.

Thanks for the info.

That's what's going on here I don't think so. We WANT to be on their piece of geography and we want permanent access to it. It is a historically significant piece of real estate not to mention the fact that it WILL be a great forward staging location if the need arises, not to mention, also, that Israel is the ONLY democracy in that entire dictatorially downtrodden region.

I don't think so. I do. "We" don't want anything. Some American beaurocrats and policy wonks what that. I didn't ask for it and neither did you. And even if you did, they couldn't care less what you or I think. It is only coincidental that they do what we want. They have our money extracted at the point of a gun and do not need our opinions.
