Libertarian society is an oxymoron. Several of the zealots deny society exists, or even has a right to.
Under a Libertarian hegemony, property as we know it would soon cease to exist. As the governmental mechanisms for establishing, defining and protecting it dissolved, property would become simply a matter of who had the force to take it. Orwell's nightmare vision of a boot endlessly stomping on a human face would be realized.
Oh my, oh my..
This is very confusing.. On the one hand I have DONH telling me that in a Libertarian Society I am not free to do with my $hit as I pease... Then I have you telling me I am free to do whatever I wish..
Heavens.. Such a dilema..
Oh my..! that's a shock..
Wrong. You seem to give all the credit to the cretins who would seek to take by force...and forget that to take by force one must overcome resistance. While Society might undergo a period of adjustment (I like to call such a period the self- chlorination of the gene pool), as those who seek to take by force are weeded out by those of us with balls enough to stop them, the result would never become an Orwellian nightmare.
For that to occur the "boot endlessly stomping on a human face" would have to be attached to the heel of Government - and you are predicating your nightmare on the dissolution of said Government. Did you actually read 1984, or do you just quote from it to sound intellectual?
