It is completely understandable if you look at it from the perspective of CONTROL. For that is what it's about. All of them understand there is no Constitutional basis for it, but they want to CONTROL the people of this country. They view government as a growth industry and the Constitution as a SUGGESTION. It's not about drugs and never really was. It has ALWAYS been about controlling one or another segment of the populace. Since Nixon, it's no longer segmented; they want control over ALL OF US and this is the pretext.

Andif you think I'm WRONG, look at Lady Doc's rants: KILL those who refuse to be controlled. Of course, that's why part of the WOsD is a War on Firearms Owners. Demonize, control, kill.

"Constitution? We don't NEED no steenking Constit-U-tion!"

It also makes sense when you look at it from the perspective of the federal bureaucracy. The alphabet agencies are filled with career bureaucrats who have every intention of retiring with a full pension. Controlling other people's lives is their livlihood, and the more of it they do, the more they get paid. Your freedom and their career objectives are in direct conflict with each other.

Doesn't the need to control others indicate either (1) a serious inferiority complex, or (2) the fact that the pro-WOD people are making money from the WOD? My fondest hope is that it is these people whose children are arrested, and they find out how much help the government is in getting their children off of drugs, especially with a criminal record. It is my second fondest hope that they find themselves face to face with an armed and deadly addict that could have had a one dollar fix without the WOD, but instead must rob and maybe shoot them because of the WOD. Nothing could change their silly opinions more quickly than either of these events.

My wife is a DDS, and because of the WOD I must accompany her to her office anytime she has an emergency after dark. Every time I get up out of bed at some ungodly hour to protect her against getting robbed and burglarized by an addict in the middle of the night when she opens her office, I think of these idiots who support the WOD and how but for them and their ilk we could walk the streets once again in safety. I am sick of what the WOD has done to this country to the point of wishing that violent resistance to these people were a possibility, but being a Christian does not allow me this option. Nevertheless, everyday that passes, the ranks of those that believe as I do grow, while the ranks of those that believe as these poor dinosaurs do shrink. Sooner or later the tension must break. Let us pray that the break will be peaceful and not a repetition of the one that occurred from 1861-1865. You can only lock up so many people, ruin so many lives, before the people begin to fight back.
