I'd like to abolish the *requirement* to get written permission (a prescription) to purchase a drug. That is the standard Libertarian position.
The standard medication is colchicine, an extract of meadow saffron that has been in use for several thousand years.

Adverse side effects is a euphemism for the fact it's a very strong laxative. So what? I was glad to consult with a doctor the first time I needed it, just in order to confirm my self-diagnosis. I don't see why I should be required to by law to do so. Either at that time or at the time of the attack I mentioned.
