Not a single case of the Courts holding that it was "unConstitutional" for the "FedGov to ban substances or objects."

Sorry, you got an F.

Try the extra credit question.

It's my understanding that the AJL finding/ruling/whatever is still valid and binding but won't be given effect unless the "temporary" injunction obtained by the DEA is lifted. It was DEA that got a restraining order on its own ALJ. And it wasn't MY trump card, in any case.

Oh good, Roscoe is back. Still won't tell us if he is a narc. Still won't say if the Framers would like the DEA or think it an abomination. And, oh yeah, thinks federal antihacking laws are not creating thoughtcrime. Roscoe probably imagines himself to be a real conservative, and wonders why he can't get the time of day on the Web's biggest conservative forum.

Another F. A federal ban on counterfeit coins.

Here's another chance at extra credit, keep trying!

When did the federal government first prohibit the sale of untaxed whiskey? (You can call a friend if you need to.)

Sure there was. That was why the "marijuana tax stamp act of 1937" was passed, so that they could do an end-around the court. The court had previously rule AGAINST such bannings as a violation of the 4th and 5th amendments so the Congress critters devised a scheme that let them place a special tax on the stuff they wanted to control (NFA, 1934) and later expanded that to pot. Of course, NO TAX STAMPS were ever issued for pot, nor was there any intention of doing so. That is why the 1937 act was declared unconstitutional when it was finally challenged and why the Congress finally just gave up any PRETENCE at constitutionality in '68 and subsequently.

Obviously and you, Roscoe and CJ are sure the lummoxes here. However, no fact will ever penetrate your minds, so you're safe!

Shall I post the CSA findings again?

How's it coming on the last extra credit question?

The tax was placed in 1791. The Whiskey Rebellion began in 1794.

How special. You are most surely a font of useless information. Why is it that you can't seem to be able to read the Constitution and, having read it, UNDERSTAND it. Hell's bells, even (home-schooled) 4th GRADERS can do it! But your ilk seem to have some serious comprehension issues to work out. Try seeking some professional help for this. You'd be surprised how good it can feel!

I often wonder about that sense of history which we enjoy from our earliest childhood, where that comes from. We weren't around back then but somehow we can well sense how life was for our ancestors.

Those statist Founding Fathers didn't even realize that they couldn't ban the sale of untaxed whiskey!

Too bad you don't have a time machine so you could go tell them.

That's true. I dunno, but maybe it has something to do with some kind of "species memory?" Some sense of things past that is passed on thru our genes or something. I remember once reading a book on the Roman Empire at the time of Christ. From all that was there, I could FEEL just how it was to live then. It didn't seem all THAT different from modern times... Most int'restin'!!
