I am one of those who thought we had no business in the middle east conflict and I also thought Israel was being heavy-handed with the Palestinians. Seeing night after night of Israeli troops killing civilians was starting to turn the tide of public opinion against Israel. September 11th changed all that. The Palestinians were winning and their brethren blew it for them. Now I could give a rat's ass about any muslim. While I am still not a fan of Israel, I could care less what their troops do to any muslim. So any media blitz will not have nearly the impact it would have had prior to September 11th. Too little way too late.

While I agree with everything else you said, I don't think Israel targeted civilians in pizza parlors, restaurants, or school buses etc. This is something that the Palestinians do quite well.
