Dawkins engages in ad hominum argument by questioning the academic credentials of people who disagree with himself. The only thing that should be discussed is whether their ideas are true or false.
Its the arrogance of many modernist evolutionists (I believe somewhat in evolution myself, just not the implications behind it, or the snobbish obnoxiousness of its disciples) that is oozing out. Many evolution freaks do look down with a sort of contemptuous pity on those of us who believe in "The sugar daddy in the sky."
Its tough having all the answers and being smarter than everyone else in the universe (or multiverse, as some may believe). Just wait until they get the chance to lecture Jesus and Yawheh!

It seems to me that both evolutionists and creationists are proceeding on faith, but the former don't want to admit it. I think a true scientific attitude for someone inclined to a favorable view of evolution ( and there is much to incline one that way ) is that there are too many unresolved problems to reach any conclusion yet. However, many in the "scientific" community believe that Darwin rescued them from the night of religious superstition. They fear that any concession would strip science of its authority.
The wonder of the world is beyond human grasp. Incidentally, I am not a religious person.
